The Seattle University women’s golf team welcomed 15 other collegiate teams to the Tacoma Country and Golf Club Monday for the first two rounds of the second annual Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, finishing the day in a tie for sixth place in the team standings.

Alexus Song (Auburn, Wash.) struggled a bit early in the day, shooting four over par through the first 12 holes, before four birdies over her next nine holes brought her back to even par early in the second round. However, she ran into some issues during the rest of the second round, shooting 77 (+5), combined with a first-round 73 (+1), as she ended up in a tie for seventh place at 150 (+6).

Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) made a significant improvement from the first round to the second round, shooting 81 (+9) in the morning before three birdies led to a second round 74 (+2) and a two-round total of 155 (+11), good enough for a tie for 27th place. Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) fought through several bogeys over the first 26 holes before a birdie and nine pars over the final 10 holes put her in a tie for 31st place at 156 (+12) after rounds of 80 (+8) and 76 (+4).

Ellen Brantberg (Stockholm, Sweden) and Yen Ting Wong (Singapore) each ended the day in a tie for 60th place at 162 (+18), with Brantberg posting rounds of 77 (+5) and 85 (+13) and Wong earning scores of 79 (+7) and 83 (+11). Playing as individuals, Juhee Lee (Wilsonville, Ore.) improved from a first round 82 (+10) to a second round 76 (+4), moving into a tie for 41st place at 158 (+14), while Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) finished the day in 83rd place at 171 (+27) with rounds of 88 (+16) and 83 (+11).

As a team, Seattle U shot rounds of 309 (+21) and 310 (+22) to end up in a tie for sixth place with Weber State at 619 (+43), four strokes in front of eighth-place Sacramento State. The Washington Huskies are on their way to defending their team title, shooting the low score in each round to finish at 580 (286-294), 24 strokes in front of Idaho. Four Huskies occupy the top spots on the individual leaderboard, led by Julianne Alvarez, who combined rounds of 72 (even) and 71 (-1) for a three-stroke lead at 143 (-1).
