Redhawk men to appear three times on ASN, twice on Pac-12 Network; Seattle U women to also make appearance on ASN

The Seattle University men’s and women’s basketball teams will have several games televised during the 2015-16 season, as announced by various national and regional networks.

The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and American Sports Network (ASN) have announced a slate of 12 contests to be broadcast by Sinclair Networks Group, four of those games featuring the Redhawks. Three Seattle U men’s basketball home games at KeyArena will be televised on ASN: Saturday, Jan. 16, against CSU Bakersfield at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, against Chicago State at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 6, against Missouri-Kansas City, also at 7 p.m.

In addition, the one women’s basketball game selected by ASN for broadcast this upcoming season will feature the Seattle U women’s basketball team hosting New Mexico State at the newly-renovated Connolly Center on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. The American Sports Network is carried in the Seattle area by KOMO-2, found on digital channel 4.2 as well as on channel 328 for Comcast subscribers, channel 83 for Wave customers, and channel 464 for those who use Frontier.

The Redhawk men’s basketball team will also make two appearances on the PAC-12 Network as they visit two schools from the major conference. Seattle U’s contest at California will be televised live Tuesday, Dec. 1, starting at 7 p.m., while the annual crosstown matchup between the Redhawks and the Washington Huskies from Alaska Airlines Arena will be broadcast live Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 8 p.m.

Finally, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams’ visits to Edinburg, Texas, will be broadcast throughout the state of Texas on Time Warner Cable Sportschannel. The Seattle U women’s basketball team plays at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. Central time, while the Redhawk men’s basketball team plays at UTRGV on Thursday, Feb. 18, also at 7 p.m. local time.

The Seattle University men’s basketball team is coming off an 18-16 record in 2014-15, advancing to the finals of the WAC Tournament and the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational. The Redhawk women’s basketball team reached the semifinals of the WAC Tournament for the third straight season and took eventual tournament champion New Mexico State to overtime last March.
