Seattle University men’s soccer senior forward Hamza Haddadi (Shoreline, Wash.) has received the Western Athletic Conference’s first Offensive Player of the Week for the 2015 season (Aug. 24-30).

Haddadi scored four of the Redhawks’ six goals in the 6-0 season-opening win over UC Davis on Aug. 28 at Championship Field. Recording a hat trick on penalty kicks alone, his four total goals tied the WAC single game record for individual goals in a match (last: Justin Sells, UNM, 1996).

His four goals in the victory over the Aggies was over half of his team-leading seven goals from 2014 and the eight points accounted for exactly half of his team-high 16 points from last season.

This weekend, Seattle U heads to Spokane for the Gonzaga Tournament where they will face Northwestern on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 2:30 pm and Cal Poly on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 1 pm.

The Redhawks return home to host Harvard on Friday, Sept. 18 and Dartmouth on Sunday, Sept. 20.
