“Julia is a great example of the perfect kind of student-athlete you love to coach,” said head coach Julie Woodward. “She keeps getting better every year and her leadership and experience showed that with her game-winning assist in overtime on Sunday. She is an amazing person, student, and athlete.”
Over the weekend, Moravec started both contests versus Pac-12 foes in Washington State on Friday, Aug. 21 and Oregon on Sunday, Aug. 23. She assisted Karli White’s game-winner in the 103rd minute of the Redhawks’ 1-0 double overtime victory over the Ducks.
Off the field, Moravec also excels in the classroom with a 3.42 cumulative GPA as an environmental science major.
Seattle U (1-1-0) faces crosstown rival, No. 24 Washington, on Friday, Aug. 28 at Husky Soccer Stadium before returning home Sunday to host Vanderbilt at 12 noon. Sunday’s game will be a doubleheader with the Seattle U men’s team as they host Gonzaga at 3 p.m.
