The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically as well as academically. District VIII, of which Seattle U is a part, encompasses eight states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawai’i, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington) as well as Canada.
Morrow became Seattle U’s all-time leader in doubles earlier this season (Apr. 1, Game two vs. Portland State) and ranks second in career home runs and RBI. A three time All-Conference honoree in as many chances, Morrow earned Second Team honors in 2015. On track to earn her third straight Academic All-WAC honor, she was also named to the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete team in 2014.
To be eligible for this award, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings, and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
