Seattle University women’s basketball head coach Joan Bonvicini announces the transfer of Shaylin Heredia from Scottsdale Community College.
“I am very excited to announce the signing of Shay Heredia from Phoenix, Arizona,” said Bonvicini. “Shay is an experienced point guard with a high aptitude for the game. She is a solid scorer from the three-point line and a good distributor and leader on the floor. She has the qualities we are looking for in a student-athlete at Seattle University and we welcome Shay to our Redhawk family.”
The Tolleson, Ariz. native ranked second in scoring last season in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) with 18.4 points per game. She finished her two year career at SCC being named Second Team All-ACCAC and First Team All-Division II in 2014-15.
Heredia will join the Redhawks beginning with the upcoming 2015-16 season.
