SEATTLE – The Redhawk women’s rowing team closed their 2014-15 competition season at the Opening Day Regatta on the Montlake Cut, finishing second in each of their respective races. The day marks the first day of boating season in Seattle, also the precursor to the prestigious Windermere Cup each year.

“Opening day is always such a fun way to end our season,” said head coach Jenny Park. “The team raced hard and I am happy with the results. Now we will look forward to next year.”

In the women’s collegiate open 8+, Seattle U passed the finish line with a time of 7:12.1, ahead of Washington (B) and just behind Washington (A). The women’s 3V8+ finished with a time of 6:55.2 ahead of Western Washington and behind Washington (A).
