“Today was a good day,” said head coach Jenny Park. “Everyone raced hard and it showed! I’m very proud of the team today.”
The varsity 8+ finished third in their heat while finishing in front of all six other boats in the finals with a time of 06:53.90.
The novice 8+ finished first in both their respective heat as well as the finals, defeating three other boats in the heat including boats from Oregon and Portland.
Seattle U has two weeks off from competition before competing at the WIRA Championships on Saturday, Apr. 25-26 in Sacramento, Calif. The Redhawks will return to Seattle for the Opening Day Regatta on Saturday, May 2 on the Montlake Cut.
