The Seattle University women’s golf team posted its best team round of the three-day tournament, moving up to finish in 12th place Tuesday at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State University at the Eagle’s Landing Country Club.

Alexus Song (Auburn, Wash.) played a steady round for the second consecutive day, earning 16 pars as she shot 74 (+2) to move up into a tie for 15th place with a three-round total of 229 (+13). She finished fifth among the 83-player field with 35 pars during the tournament as she earned her second straight top-20 finish of the season, posting her best 54-hole score of the year.

Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) posted a third-round score of 78 (+6) that included two birdies to finish the tournament in a tie for 22nd place at 232 (+16). Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) started her round with five straight pars and concluded it with six pars and a birdie as she shot 77 (+5) to end up in a tie for 41st place at 235 (+19).

Ellen Brantberg (Stockholm, Sweden) shot 82 (+10) in the final round to end the tournament in a tie for 69th place at 248 (+32). Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) shot her best round of the week, using 13 pars on her way to a round of 80 (+8), finishing in 78th place at 261 (+45).

As a team, Seattle U combined for a team score of 309 (+21), moving up two places into 12th place in the final standings with a 54-hole total of 942 (+78). Troy University shot a tournament-best round of even-par 288 to come from behind and win the tournament with a score of 892 (+28), five strokes ahead of Middle Tennessee, with Fatima Fern Cano leading Troy with a round of 67 (-5) to earn medalist honors by seven strokes with a three-round total of 210 (-6).

Seattle University concludes the 2014-15 regular season next week at the Cowgirl Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz. The Redhawks will be part of a 22-team field that will play 36 holes Monday, April 6, followed by a final round of 18 holes Tuesday, April 7.
