SU to Open 2015 Home Schedule: After opening the season with five straight weekends on the road, including their first appearance in the Emerald City last weekend at Washington’s Husky Spring Classic, the Seattle University softball team makes their 2015 home debut versus Notre Dame de Namur. Including Wednesday, Seattle U will play three straight home games before heading to Los Angeles for the LMU Invitational. The Redhawks will open their third Western Athletic Conference season in Phoenix on the home field of the 2014 Regular Season Champions, Grand Canyon, on Mar. 27-28.

Up Next and Looking Ahead: The Redhawks will host home games for four straight Wednesdays starting today, also hosting Texas Tech on Mar. 18 (6 pm), Northwest University (Mar. 25), and Portland State (Apr. 1). Seattle U hosts New Mexico State for a three-game series on Apr. 3-4 to open their home WAC schedule.

Bubba Morrow Nearing Seattle U Career Doubles Record: Morrow took sole possession of second place in Seattle U’s career doubles records (31 as of 3/9) last weekend and is one away from tying Allegra Wilde’s top spot (32).

Scouting Notre Dame de Namur: The Argonauts faced Saint Martin’s for a three-game series over the past two days (Mar. 9-10) before making the short trip to Seattle. Coming into this week, Notre Dame de Namur was on a two game winning streak, taking both games of a doubleheader versus Dominican University on Mar. 7. As of Mar. 2, Alessandra Giannavola led the team at the plate with a .442 average, adding 13 runs on 23 hits as well as two doubles and four RBI. In the circle (as of Mar. 2), Jenna Bassler owned a team-low 3.13 ERA among starters with a 4-2 win-loss record and 20 strikeouts.
