Home Sweet Home: With a record-high 20 home games this season, SU is already through 19 games of their 2014-15 home schedule, completing 10 of 20 (including exhibitions) prior to the Christmas holiday. At the beginning of January, the Redhawks finished a stretch in which they played 11 of 12 on their home court (Nov. 29-Jan. 10). After playing seven of eight home games during the month of December and six of eight in January, the Redhawks are playing on their home floor just twice in February.

Scouting Bakersfield (20-7, 9-3 WAC): The Roadrunners welcome the Redhawks this weekend behind a 20-game winning streak on their home floor, an all-time school record and tied for fifth in Division I as of Feb. 23. SU is 4-9 all-time vs. CSUB but as WAC foes, the series is tied at 2-2. After splitting during the 2013-14 regular season, the Redhawks defeated the Roadrunners in last season’s WAC Tournament en route to SU’s second straight WAC title game appearance. Earlier this year, Bakersfield won a 69-62 decision in Seattle, finishing the game on a 15-1 comeback run. Tyonna Outland leads the team, and the league, in scoring (18.9 ppg) while Batabe Zempare leads the WAC in rebounding, averaging a double-double (10.0 ppg, 10.3 rpg). Alyssa Shannon, also averaging in double scoring figures, leads the WAC in assists (4.9 apg) and three-point field goal pct. (47.0). As a team, the Roadrunners top the conference in points per game (73.9), free throw percentage (74.9, 19th in NCAA), assists per game (16.2), and assist/turnover ratio (1.1). CSUB brings a five game overall winning streak into this weekend after a close 78-76 victory at Kansas City, decided on a layup by Tyonna Outland with 1.6 seconds remaining. Outland, with 1,959, is nearing 2,000 career points.

Record Breaking Performances: Masha Shtikel hit a season-high three three-pointers, tying her career high nine points at UMKC on Feb. 19. Taelor Ross also blocked a career-high six shots versus the ‘Roos. In the win at Chicago State, Claire Metoyer dished out a career high seven assists on Feb. 21.
