With another winter storm forecast to hit North Carolina Wednesday, leading to the possibility of flight cancellations and other travel difficulties, the Seattle University baseball team has decided to not make the trip to Cary, N.C., for the USA Baseball-Irish Classic this weekend.
The Redhawks were scheduled to play single games Friday, Feb. 27, through Sunday, March 1, against Richmond, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati. The Bearcats and the Iowa Hawkeyes have also decided to pull out of the tournament due to the uncertainty of playing this weekend's games, and they will face each other in a three-game series in Georgia.
