Crystal Allen (Fort Worth, Texas) has been named Western Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 5-11. Allen becomes the first freshman in Seattle U history to be named WAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Allen led all players on the floor with a career-high 21 points in the 73-58 win over Utah Valley to open WAC play. She also posted a career-high eight rebounds and went 4-for-5 from behind the arc, also a career high.
College Sports Madness also named Allen WAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her achievements on the court.
The Redhawks head to face UTPA (Jan. 15) and New Mexico State (Jan. 17) this week before returning home to host Chicago State (Jan. 22) and Kansas City (Jan. 24) the following weekend.
