Seattle U Hosts Washington at KeyArena, LMU on Weekend: Continuing their seven game homestand, Seattle University women’s basketball (1-4) is set to host Washington in their annual KeyArena game on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. The game will mark Seattle U’s first annual “Women in Leadership” game in which five female leaders from the Seattle community will be honored as part of the evening’s festivities. The Redhawks will return to Connolly Center on Saturday, Dec. 6 as they host Loyola Marymount at 2 p.m. Live stats will be available for both games while Thursday’s game will be broadcast as the WAC Digital Network Game of the Week and Saturday’s will be broadcast on GoSeattleU.com. Scouting Washington (5-1): The Huskies are 5-1 coming into this week’s crosstown rivalry matchup after losing their season opener at Oklahoma before recording a pair of home wins vs. South Dakota and Yale and winning the Cancun Challenge last weekend. En route to the tournament title, the Dawgs defeated Furman, Hartford, and Florida State and Jazmine Davis received Pac-12 Player of the Week honors for her performance. Kelsey Plum is leading the team offensively, averaging 23.8 ppg while Davis (18.2 ppg) and Talia Walton (10.8 ppg) are also averaging in double figures. The Huskies are receiving votes in the Dec. 1 edition of the NCAA DI rankings.

Four different Lions are averaging in double figures through the first five games, led by Deanna Johnson with 17.6 ppg. Leslie Lopez-Wood (13.8 ppg), Taylor Anderson (10.2 ppg), and Sophie Taylor (10.0 ppg) round out the top four in team scoring leaders. The Lions will face Northern Arizona on the road on Dec. 3 before making the trip to Seattle.
