Verdoia has garnered numerous awards including the 2014 Senior CLASS Award for Division I women’s soccer as well as the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America of the Year award. She ended her Seattle U career as the program leader in career goals and points and the single season leader in goals for 2014. Verdoia also was named Third Team All-American by the NSCAA and finished No. 33 on Top Drawer Soccer’s National Top 100.
A political science major, Verdoia has earned a 3.96 cumulative GPA, serves as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) vice president, and is involved in the Western Athletic Conference SAAC, among other involvements on and around campus.
To be named a Scholar All-American, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career, start more than 50 percent of all games, and be a significant contributor to the team, and be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member.
