After traveling south for their first two fall races of 2014, Seattle University women’s rowing finished their fall season in their home city at the Head of the Lake on the Montlake Cut.
"We had tough competition today but the girls handled themselves very well and all three boats had great races," said head coach Jenny Park. "Now we look forward to winter training and spring racing."
In both the CHAMP Women’s 8+ and Women’s Collegiate/Open 4+, the Redhawks finished in the middle of the pack. The varsity 4+ had the best showing, finishing fifth in their respective race ahead of Oregon, a men’s boat from Washington State, Victoria City, and Portland State.
The varsity 8+ finished ahead of Western Washington and Vancouver in the CHAMP Women’s 8+ race.
The team closes their 2014 fall competition season with today’s race and will open their spring season on Mar. 14, 2015 on Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, Wash. for their annual duel versus the University of Portland.
