Donny Harrel's Redhawk Baseball Institute welcomes high school players to register for the 2014 Hitting Extravaganza Camp, to take place Dec. 27-28 at the Connolly Center on the campus of Seattle University.

The two-day instructional camp will provide high school baseball players a chance to learn and develop their hitting skills. The camp will use game situations to enhance each player's ability to be a greater threat at the plate. Campers are encouraged to take advantage of the Seattle U athletics facilities and classroom lectures to become a "complete offensive player."

Hitting stations will provide each camper with the physical repetition to increase their skill level. Classroom work will provide for the mental training that goes into becoming a better offensive player. All stations will have technique and mechanical teaching, along with plenty of repetitions. Campers will also be videotaped and given a swing assessment to take home with them.

Campers will learn from the Seattle U coaching staff, as well as from local professional baseball players. Reese McGuire, a first round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of Kentwood High School and the younger brother of current Redhawk Cash McGuire, will speak to the campers during one of the sessions.

The camp will take place Saturday, Dec. 27, and Sunday, Dec. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day at the Connolly Center. The cost of attending the camp is $199, and interested players can register here.
