The Seattle University women’s golf team was unable to make up any ground in Wednesday’s final round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington, finishing in 12th place after two rounds at Sahalee Country Club.

Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) was on her way to having Seattle U’s best round of the day until a couple of big scores late in her circuit raised her second-round score to 81 (+9), finishing up in a tie for 45th place at 157 (+13). Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) also finished in a tie for 45th place at 157 (+13) after shooting 83 (+11) in the second round.

Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) also shot 81 (+9) in the second round, ending up in a tie for 51st place at 161 (+17), as did Alexus Song (Auburn, Wash.) after she shot 84 (+12) in Wednesday’s round. Ellen Brantberg (Stockholm, Sweden) shot 81 for the second straight day to finish the tournament in a tie for 53rd place at 162 (+18).

Seattle U posted a second-round team score of 326 (+38) for a two-day total of 633 (+57) to finish in 12th place. Host school Washington ran away with the team title by 19 strokes over Stanford, with the Huskies’ SooBin Kim posting the only sub-70 round Wednesday to earn medalist honors by nine strokes at 136 (-8).

The Seattle University women’s golf team concludes the fall season by hosting the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 13-14. Spectators are welcome to watch the two-day competition as the teams are scheduled to play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start each day.
