Scouting Utah Valley (12-5-2, 7-2-0 WAC): The Wolverines sit just below the Redhawks in the WAC standings, in second place, but just above in the NSCAA Regional standings, sitting currently in seventh going into the weekend. UVU’s two WAC losses this season have come vs. Grand Canyon, 2-0, at home, and earlier this season in Seattle, 2-1, to the Redhawks. Most recently, the Wolverines have recorded a four-game winning streak including a 2-0 shutout on Oct. 26 over Kansas City, who was undefeated in league play at that time. For her key role in the UVU defense in the pair of shutouts on the weekend (also defeating Chicago State, 3-0, on Oct. 24), Kalli Suesue was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27. Offensively, Kali Stubbs leads Utah Valley with five goals and five assists for 15 points while, in goal, Jessica Duffin has recorded every minute for the Wolverines and a 0.77 GAA, good for second in the league.

Record-Breaker: On Oct. 26 (Senior Day) vs. Chicago State, Senior Stephanie Verdoia broke both the Seattle U all-time career records for points and goals. With her goal in the 7th minute, she set the new record for points and with her goal in the 34th minute, she set the new record for goals. Verdoia surpassed Trisha Tateyama (1996-1999) for the points record, who recorded 116 during her SU career and Nichole Sauvageau (1999-02), who recorded 45 goals during her Redhawk career.

Verdoia Nearing Single Season Goals Record: As of Oct. 29, Stephanie Verdoia has 18 goals on the season and the all-time Seattle U single reason record is 20, recorded both by Ingrid Gunnestad in 1990 and Trisha Tateyama in 1999.

Verdoia Named Senior CLASS Award Top 10 Finalist: Announced as a top 30 candidate in September, Stephanie Verdoia was named a Top 10 Finalist for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award, one of the most prestigious awards for collegiate senior student-athletes, which celebrates accomplishments in four areas - classroom, community, character, and competition. Fan voting comprises 1/3 of the total vote for the winner, which will be announced at the 2014 Women’s College Cup championships in December. Fans can vote once per day until Nov. 24 at
