Seattle University softball head coach Dan Powers and his staff are offering a set of fall and winter camps in late 2014 and early 2015.
The fall camp will take place over a four week period on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The camp is open to softball players ages 7-18 of any skill level. From 4:30-5:30 pm, players can pick infield, outfield, or pitching and from 5:30-6:30, offensive work will be emphasized.
The cost of attendance is $150 per player for the entire six-camp series and a single session is $25 per night. The dates are as follows: Oct. 30, Nov. 4, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 18, and Nov. 20.
The winter camp will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 30 from 10am-2pm and Friday, Jan. 2 from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Connolly Center Astrogym (corner of 14th and E Cherry).
The camp will feature two different sessions, welcoming 9-12th graders on Dec. 30 and 1st-8th graders on Jan. 2. The high school camp costs $85 while the second camp costs $65. Campers at each session will train in all areas of the game including hitting, fielding, base running, and team play, and will prepare aspiring players for their upcoming tryouts.
The Redhawk softball team recently released their 2015 schedule and will begin regular season competition in February.
