Seattle U Hosts Travel Partner Utah Valley on WAC Digital Network: After hosting UNLV and Grand Canyon in their WAC home opening weekend last week, Seattle U men’s soccer is set to host Utah Valley in a single game on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. The match, broadcast on the WAC Digital Network, will be the team’s annual Cystic Fibrosis game. Cystic Fibrosis Game Set For Oct. 18: The Redhawks’ match vs. Utah Valley on Oct. 18 will be the team’s annual Cystic Fibrosis game and fans will receive a ticket discount ($3 tickets) by wearing blue to the match.

Ticket Information: Fans can purchase single game tickets starting an hour prior to each match at the ticket booth at the main Championship Field entrance (corner of 14th and E Cherry). Tickets are $7 for general admission, $5 for youth (17 and under) and seniors (65+). The Redhawk Sports Pass can be purchased for $50 by calling the Redhawk Ticket Office at (206) 398-GOSU(4678), good for all men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, volleyball, and baseball home contests.
National Rankings: The Redhawks have been ranked in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 twice this season, including No. 22 on Sept. 2 and No. 24 on Sept. 30. These are the program’s first two national rankings since reclassifying back to NCAA Division I.
Best of the West: In the Oct. 14 edition of the NSCAA/Continental Tire Men’s Soccer West Regional rankings, five of the top 10 teams are members of the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U sits in second place while UNLV (1st), Air Force (3rd), Bakersfield (5th), and Utah Valley (8th) are also ranked regionally.
Scouting Utah Valley (5-4-1, 1-1-1 WAC): In their inaugural year as a program, the Wolverines and Redhawks tied in a 2OT draw, 1-1, in their first ever meeting on Oct. 4 in Orem, Utah. Since then, UVU shutout Grand Canyon, 1-0, on Oct.10 before UNLV handed them a similar fate with a 1-0 shutout. Matt Gay leads the team offensively with five goals, four assists, and 14 points while Collin Partee has earned the starting spot in goal, allowing just seven goals and making 42 saves. As a team, they’ve outscored their opponents, 13-8, and lead in shots, 134-115.
