Seattle U Women’s Soccer Makes WAC Road Trip South: Currently sitting in second place in the conference standings behind Kansas City, Seattle University women’s soccer returns to the road to face New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M. and Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas this weekend after facing Grand Canyon and Bakersfield for the past two straight weekends (once on the road, once at home). Scouting New Mexico State (3-12-0, 2-3-0 WAC): Senior forward Jennae Cambra is the reigning WAC Offensive Player of the Week, her second of the season, after she led the Aggies to a weekend split with UMKC and Chicago State. She recorded five points on the weekend. Cambra leads the team in scoring and offensive output while, in goal, the duo of Taylor Rice and Tayler Hammack have shared playing time. The Aggies have defeated Chicago State twice in conference play with their lone non-conference win coming versus Incarnate Word.

Scouting UTPA (8-3-4, 2-2-1 WAC): UTPA went 6-1-3 in non-conference action, while in conference play, the Broncs have defeated New Mexico State and Chicago State. Andreya Barrera leads the team with seven goals while Barrera and Aimie Inthoulay have recorded a team-high 16 points. In goal, Aubrie Coley has started 12 of 15 matches while Erica Gonzalez has made three starts and five appearances.

WAC Winning Streak: Seattle U women’s soccer recorded a 15-game regular season conference winning streak and nation-leading 17 total conference game winning streak (including conference tournament games) from Sept. 20, 2013 to Oct. 5, 2014.

Verdoia Named Disney Soccer/NSCAA Division I Women’s National Player of the Week (Sept. 29-Oct. 5): After scoring both game-winners at Grand Canyon and Bakersfield on Oct. 3 and 5, as well as recording a career high seven points (two goals, three assists) at CSUB, Stephanie Verdoia was named Disney Soccer/NSCAA Division I Women’s Soccer National Player of the Week. She was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week for her efforts.

WAC Tournament All-Session Tickets Now on Sale: All session tickets are now on sale for the Western Athletic Conference men’s and women’s soccer tournaments hosted by Seattle U. The women’s tournament will take place on Nov. 6-7, 9 while the men’s tournament will take place the following weekend on Nov. 14-15, 16.
