The Seattle University women’s golf team finished in eighth place Tuesday at the Rose City Collegiate, hosted by Portland State University at the Langdon Farms Golf Club.

Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) birdied the second hole to get off to a solid start, but bogeys on each of the final three holes raised her final round score to 76 (+4), putting her in a tie for 15th place at the end with a cumulative total of 226 (+10). Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) shot 79 (+7) in Tuesday’s round, giving her a final score of 229 (+13), good enough for a tie for 20th place.

Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) posted a third-round score of 78 (+6) to finish the tournament in a tie for 24th place at 230 (+14). Ellen Brantberg (Stockholm, Sweden) shot the Redhawks’ best round of the day with a steady 75 (+3), ending the tournament in a tie for 29th place at 231 (+15). Tori Hoff (Orinda, Calif.) finished the tournament in 70th place at 246 (+30) after shooting 85 (+13) in the final round.

As a team, Seattle U combined for a third round score of 308 (+20), ending the week in eighth place with a 54-hole total of 916 (+52). Cal State Fullerton held on for the team title by three strokes over San Francisco, with the Titans’ Tisha Alyn Abrea earning medalist honors by two strokes over A Ram Choi of host school Portland State.

The Seattle University women’s golf team plays close to home over the next two weeks, starting next Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 7-8, with the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. The Redhawks will then host the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Lakewood, Wash., Oct. 13-14.
