The Seattle University baseball program welcomed back alumni players and parents for an Alumni Game this past Saturday, Sept. 27, at Meridian Park Field.

The team of former players defeated the 2014-15 squad, 6-2, behind the play of game MVPs Riley Tompkins and Nick Latta. Max Whieldon came on in relief for the alumni squad and threw two innings of shutout ball to secure the victory.

"It was great to see our former players, as well as parents who remain connected with the program," Seattle U head baseball coach Donny Harrel said. "It was a beautiful day to have this game, and it was good for the current team to see some outside competition."

The fall baseball season continues for the Redhawks as they prepare for the 2015 regular season, set to start in mid-February. The competition schedule is being finalized and will be released later in the fall.
