The Summer Prospect Camp is open to high school aged campers, regardless of coaching and recruiting experience. Coaches from Seattle U, Saint Martin’s, George Fox, and Concordia will run the camp and be on hand for recruiting and instruction opportunities. Coaches from Bellevue CC, Edmonds CC, and Lower Columbia College will also participate and other colleges may be on hand as well. All campers will take live batting practice on the field and all pitchers will throw an instructional bullpen session that will lead to throwing to live hitters in a controlled game setting.
The August camp will take place from Aug. 18-20 from 10 am – 3 pm on Monday and Tuesday and 10am – 2 pm on Wednesday at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue (1700 Richards Road. Bellevue,Wash. 98009) with an optional Seattle U campus tour on Wednesday after camp ends. The cost is $289 for position and two-way players and $259 for pitchers only.
The High School Instructional Camp, open to high school aged athletes, will team with Bellevue College Head Coach Mark Yoshino and will give potential student-athletes the opportunity to receive instruction from college coaches in the area. The camp is for players interested in increasing their skill level and will be used for evaluation of potential student-athletes. Campers will be tested on all aspects of the game with an emphasis on fielding, hitting, pitching, and speed work.
The October camp will take place from 6 – 9 pm on Friday Night at Seattle University’s indoor facility and from 10 am – 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday at Bellevue College (3000 Landerholm Cir. SE. Bellevue, Wash. 98007). After Saturday’s camp, campers can stay and watch Seattle U and Bellevue College scrimmage at 2:30 p.m. The cost is $279 for position and two-way players and $259 for pitchers only.
For pitchers and catchers who cannot attend these camp dates, there will be a Pitcher/Catcher Showcase Camp in November, attended by multiple college and professional scouts. Stay tuned to GoSeattleU.com for details.
