Seattle University women’s rowing competed at the Husky Open on the Montlake Cut, the University of Washington’s home course, on Saturday morning.

“The athletes raced hard this morning,” said head coach Jenny Park. “They kept their composure and figured a few things out. We’re all ready for a solid, focused week of practice before we head down to Eugene next weekend for the Covered Bridge Regatta.”

The Redhawks finished in the middle of the pack in the varsity 4+ race with a time of 7:42.3, finishing behind Washington’s A and B boats and ahead of Western Washington’s A and B boats. SU also finished third in the varsity 8+ race and second in the novice 8+ race.

The Redhawks return to action on Saturday, Apr. 12 at the Covered Bridge Regatta in Eugene, Ore.
