Seattle University women’s rowing competed at the Daffodil Sprints on American Lake in Lakewood, Wash., highlighted by a novice 8+ win and a third place finish by the novice 4+.

“We had rough conditions this morning and the racers handled them very well,” said head coach Jenny Park. “The varsity 8 had a good race and I'm thrilled with the novice 8 and 4 results.”

The Seattle U N8+ earned a win with a time of 08:28.6, defeating the University of Portland and the University of Oregon. The Redhawks’ N4+ placed third behind Puget Sound and Western Washington with a time of 09:09.8. SU finished ahead of Portland, Lewis & Clark, Portland State, and Willamette University in the N4+ race.

Portland came away with a win in the V8+ race ahead of Western Washington and Seattle U with a time of 08:25.3.

Seattle U competes next on Saturday, Apr. 5 at the Husky Open on the Montlake Cut in Seattle, Wash.
