Four of the five Seattle University golfers improved their round scores on the second day of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic, allowing the Redhawks to move up into 13th place after Tuesday’s second round of the annual women’s collegiate golf tournament hosted by the University of Hawaii at The Bay Course.

Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) shot her best round of the year, posting a second-round score of 76 (+4) to move into a tie for 41st place at 155 (+11). She birdied two holes and moved into a tie for 17th place among the tournament field with 23 pars over the first two rounds.

Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) also shot a collegiate personal-best round Tuesday, shooting 75 (+3), the team’s best round so far in the tournament, to end the day in a tie for 46th place at 156 (+12). The freshman finished with 13 pars and did not card a score higher than bogey on any hole during the second round.

Juhee Lee (Manhattan, Ore.) struggled in the second round, shooting 83 (+11) to fall into a tie for 61st place at 159 (+15). Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah) posted a second-round score of 80 (+8) to end the day in a tie for 71st place at 162 (+18), just ahead of Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.), who settled down with 12 pars and no single-hole scores above bogey to shoot 76 (+4) for a two-day total of 163 (+19), currently in a tie for 73rd place.

As a team, Seattle University’s score from round one to round two improved by 11 strokes, as the Redhawks shot 307 (+19) Tuesday to move up into 13th place with a cumulative total of 625 (+49). Pepperdine moved ahead of Washington by three strokes thanks to a second round score of 287 (-1), led by Grace Na, whose 66 (-6) put her at the top of the individual standings by six strokes.

The third and final round of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic will tee off at 7:45 a.m. local time with a shotgun start. Seattle University’s golfers will begin their rounds on holes 13-16.
