Seattle University head women’s soccer coach and 2013 WAC Coach of the Year Julie Woodward and her staff are hosting three different Nike soccer camps throughout the summer for aspiring soccer players. All three camps will take place at Championship Field on the SU campus in Seattle, Wash.

“We are excited to offer a different camp for every type of young soccer player out there,” said Woodward.  “Whether you are playing soccer just for fun, want to take your game to the next level, or be discovered as a future Redhawk, we have the camp for you.  Over the years our camps have continued to get bigger and better.  I am personally looking forward to our spring and summer sessions, because there are so many great players to work with, and we always have a great time.”

On Apr. 19, the Redhawks will host a one day Nike Soccer ID Camp for girls ages 14-18 and will focus on evaluation for potential future Redhawks. The one day camp will last from 10 am-4 pm and will cost $120.00.

From July 7-11, the Nike Soccer Coed Day Camp is open to boys and girls 5-13 years old and will focus on skill development and fun. There are three different options for campers, including all day and two half-day options. To participate in the full all-day camp each day (9 am- 4 pm), the registration fee is $250.00. To participate in one of two half-day options (9 am-12 pm or 1 pm-4 pm), the registration fee is $150.00.

The Nike Soccer Girls Residential Camp will welcome girls 12-18 from July 14-17 and will be focused on player development and fun. Campers will have the option of staying overnight for $475.00 or for an extended day (9 am – 8:30 pm) for $300.00.

Campers can expect a 10:1 camper to staff ratio with focus on team play, skill development, and three to five hours of daily instruction by a top-notch coaching staff. Soccer balls will also be available for purchase (for an additional $15) when registering for the camp.

Woodward, the camp director, finished her 17th season at the helm of the Redhawk women’s soccer program in 2013, leading the team to an undefeated conference season, a WAC Tournament title, and the program’s first ever berth in the NCAA Tournament. She serves as the dean of coaches at Seattle U, earning the respect of her peers with her style of coaching, which has led to 16 winning seasons and 200+ career wins.
