Donny Harrel’s Redhawk Baseball Institute welcomes high school baseball players ages 15-19 to its Spring Training Instructional Prospect Camp, to take place on consecutive Saturdays, Feb. 1 and Feb. 8.
This camp is geared towards getting players ready for the upcoming spring season, and it is a great opportunity to receive instruction in a progressive format. Players will be taught and evaluated on Saturday, Feb. 1 and then given skills to practice during the week. They will be re-evaluated with more instruction on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The cost to attend both sessions is $159 for position and two-way players and $139 for pitchers. Players who can attend only one of the two sessions are welcome as well for a cost of $100 for position and two-way players and $75 for pitchers. Campers should wear regular baseball gear and bring a bat, glove, and molded cleats. Participants should also bring a snack and something to drink each day.
The Feb. 1 session is scheduled for Meridian Park in Shoreline from 1-4 p.m., while the Feb. 8 session is set to take place at Steve Cox Memorial Stadium in White Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If bad weather comes into the area, the camp will be moved to the Connolly Center, with the time of the Feb. 8 camp changed to 1-3 p.m.
Anyone interested in participating in both sessions can register online - click here. Those who would rather pay by check or come for just one of the sessions should contact Cam Harrel at camandd@aol.com or 425-273-4550, and she will send you the registration paperwork.
