Spots are still available to attend the second Courtside Club Luncheon of the 2013-14 basketball season, which will take place Monday, Dec. 2, at 13 Coins, located at 125 Boren Avenue North.
Mike "The Gasman" Gastineau, a long-time Seattle sports talk radio host and regular contributor to Pearl Jam Radio on Sirius XM, will be the special guest speaker. After a 21-year career at KJR, including 14 years as co-host of the popular "Groz with Gas" show with current Seattle U basketball play-by-play broadcaster Dave Grosby, he moved on to other pursuits, including a current tour promoting his new book on the launch of the Sounders FC MLS franchise, "Sounders FC: Authentic Masterpiece."
The Courtside Club Luncheon is an opportunity for Seattle U fans to learn the inside scoop on the current men’s basketball season from Cameron Dollar. Coach Dollar, now in his fifth year at the helm of the Redhawk program, will provide exclusive updates on the team, his opinion of the season so far, and a scouting report on the team’s next opponent, the UC Davis Aggies.
Expectations are high this year as the Western Athletic Conference coaches have picked the team to finish second in the preseason poll. With a strong core of returning players and key new additions, Coach Dollar has set the team’s sights on the school’s first WAC men’s basketball championship.
The cost of the luncheon, with beverage service beginning at 11:45 a.m., is $30 per person. Registration is available by clicking here or by contacting Greg Sempadian at sempadig@seattleu.edu or 206-398-4420.
For season ticket or multi-game package information, contact the Seattle University Athletics Ticket Office at (206)398-GOSU (4678).
