One week before the Seattle University men’s basketball team opens the 2013-14 regular season, Redhawk fans will have two opportunities to gain some insight into the squad, as Seattle U has scheduled an open practice at KeyArena Sunday, Nov. 3, and a preview radio show to be taped Monday, Nov. 4, for broadcast later that night.
Seattle U head men’s basketball coach Cameron Dollar, now in his fifth season at the helm, will bring his players down to Elgin Baylor Court at KeyArena Sunday, Nov. 3, for an open practice/scrimmage running from 5 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m. Admission is free, and fans are asked to enter KeyArena through the East doors, the side facing the International Fountain in Seattle Center.
During the time frame that the players are on the floor, representatives from the Seattle U Athletics Ticket Office will be present to answer questions regarding season tickets and other package plans being offered for the 2013-14 season. Those purchasing tickets at that time will be able to select their exact seats, as the arena will be set up the same way it is for a Redhawk basketball game.
The next evening, Dollar will join Dave Grosby and Gary Hill Jr. for the Seattle U Basketball Preview Show, to be taped Monday, Nov. 4, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 13 Coins, located at 125 Boren Avenue North in Seattle. The show will be broadcast on 770 AM KTTH The Truth, the radio home of Seattle U men’s basketball, later that evening from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Everyone 21 years old and over is welcome to come to the lounge at 13 Coins and watch the live taping of the show.
The Seattle University men’s basketball team will open the 2013-14 season against the University of Washington at Alaska Airlines Arena Sunday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m., in a game televised by Pac-12 Network. The home opener for the Redhawks, the Elgin Baylor Classic, takes place Wednesday, Nov. 13, against Cal State Fullerton starting at 7 p.m. at KeyArena, with ROOT Sports and 770 AM KTTH broadcasting the contest live.
