The Seattle Univeristy men's and women's golf teams play at many of the Seattle areas's best courses, including The Golf Club at Newcastle, a nationally-acclaimed public golf club located 15 miles away from campus. Both of Newcastle's two courses offer stunning views of Bellevue, Seattle, and Lake Washington which seperates them. The club's practice facilities are also top notch, including both grass tees and heated mats, four chipping and putting greens, three bunkers, and numerous grass bunkers and mounds.
The Redhawks also practice at a number of other local courses, including Broadmoor Country Club, Sand Point Country Club, and Glen Acres Golf and Country Club in Seattle, Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore, and Meridian Valley Country Club in Kent, and Glen Acres Golf Club.
The Redhawks will also be hosting a tournament in March 2014 at Chambers Bay in University Place. Chambers Bay will welcome the world's best golfers when it hosts the 2015 U.S. Open Championship, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The tournament will be the first one SU has hosted since golf was restablished as a varsity sport in 2008.
On campus, the golf teams have their own hitting room where Redhawks can work on either their swing or their putting. The room is equipped with TrackMan to give provide SU golfers the best swing and ball-flight analysis on the market.
