The Seattle University women’s golf team will enter the final round of the 2013 Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in 17th place after completion of the second round Tuesday at the Ocotillo Golf Resort.

For the second straight day, Clare Sorensen (Roseville, Calif.) posted a score of 82 (+10) to end the day in a tie for 54th place with a two-round total of 164 (+20). Sorensen is tied with teammate Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah), who shot 85 (+13) during Tuesday’s round.

Two other Redhawks are currently in a tie for 66th place with a cumulative score of 166 (+22). Shannon Quinn (Shoreline, Wash.) shot Seattle U’s best round of the day at 77 (+5) to move up 24 places, while Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.) advanced six spots up the leaderboard after posting a second-round score of 80 (+8). Monica Keo (Kaneohe, Hawaii) shot 83 (+11) in the round to finish the day in a tie for 72nd place with a 36-hole score of 167 (+23).

As a team, Seattle University posted a cumulative score of 322 (+34) for a two-round total of 653 (+77), currently sitting in 17th place in the team standings. Boise State maintained its spot at the top of the leaderboard after a second-round 301 (+13) gave the Broncos a two-round total of 608 (+32), 11 strokes ahead of Portland State. Boise State’s Hayley Young shot 71 (-1) for the second straight day to stay on top of the individual leaderboard, six strokes clear of Britney Yada of Portland State.

Seattle University will tee off from the 10th hole in Wednesday’s final round, starting with Keo at 6:39 a.m. and continuing in nine-minute intervals until Sorensen starts her round at 7:15 a.m.
