Redshirt senior Erik Barkhaus (Whitefish Bay, Wisc.) competed in the 10,000 meter run at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival Friday morning at Cox Stadium.
Barkhaus posted a time of 31:45.76, finishing in 29th place both in his section and overall in the event. Kevin Pool of SRA Elite won the event with a new meet record time of 29:42.59, followed by Tyler Byrne of Louisville and Samuel Mueller of Auburn.
The Seattle University track and field team will send a full squad to Salem, Ore., for the Willamette Invitational next Saturday, April 6, at McCulloch Stadium. The field events are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., with the track events commencing at 12 noon.
