Seattle University women's rowing, in its first full year as a NCAA Division I varsity program, is holding an Erg-a-thon on Saturday, Mar. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Seattle U Student Center hearth. Friends, family, and Seattle U community members are invited to join this fun afternoon with the SU women's rowing team.
In the erg-a-thon, rowing student-athletes will row on an indoor rowing machine (an erg) for a specific amount of meters.
Those interested in donating towards the program through the fundraiser can donate in one of two ways. Supporters can donate a flat donation or can donate a certain amount for every 100 meters a student-athlete ergs. Every student-athlete participating will do a minimum of 10,000 meters.
For those who cannot attend but still wish to donate to the program, a donation letter is attached.
The Redhawks will start their first spring season on March 30 at the Cascade Sprints at American Lake, Wash. at 9 a.m. For all the latest updates on women's rowing throughout the season, stay tuned to GoSeattleU.com, @su_athletics on Twitter, and "Seattle U Athletics" on Facebook.
