Scouting Idaho:
The Vandals are currently in third place in the conference standings behind Seattle U and Utah State. Opening up their conference season with two losses in the first three games, including the first game vs. Seattle U, 76-71, Idaho has since won six of their last eight contests. They are currently on a two game winning streak, topping UTSA, 65-53, and Texas State, 72-59, last weekend. Alyssa Charlston leads the team averaging 14.2 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game, with Christina Salvatore also averaging in double scoring figures (11.4 ppg).

Last Time Out:
In their first Western Athletic Conference competition on Dec. 29, the Redhawks defeated the Vandals, 76-71. It was the first time the two teams had faced as conference opponents, meeting six previous times. Back and forth for the majority of the second half, Idaho led by two, 71-69, with less than two minutes remaining. A three point play by Daidra Brown put Seattle U back in the lead for good. Sylvia Shephard tied her then-career high 23 points in the contest, with Brown and Ashley Ward also scoring in double figures.

“Clean Your Closet” for St. Vincent De Paul: For the remainder of the regular season, fans are encouraged to “Clean Your Closet” and bring new and gently used clothing to benefit St. Vincent De Paul of Seattle/King County. Donation boxes will be at the Connolly Center through the Mar. 9 contest vs. Idaho.
