This Week for the Redhawks: Seattle University women’s basketball played their two exhibition contests last weekend, topping Simon Fraser, 72-69, and Western Washington, 100-93 in an exciting double overtime game. The Redhawks look to build on their success in 2011-12 and look forward to opening the 2012-13 regular season at home as they host the University of the Pacific Tigers on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Connolly Center. The players will also sign autographs following the game, and this year’s posters will be available for fans.
This Week’s Student Promotions: When students pick up their free game ticket (with Student ID), they will have a chance to sign up for a special drawing to win two $25 gift cards, one to Starbucks and one for Cherry Street Coffee House! Following the game, Coach Bonvicini will address the crowd and draw the winning student name. Must be present to win. A similar promotion will take place every game while class is in session and there will be a raffle for a grand prize at the end of the season. The more games students attend, the better chance they have to win.
