The Seattle University men's basketball team dominated Evergreen State College in every facet of the game, cruising to a 117-34 victory in an exhibition game Wednesday night at KeyArena at Seattle Center.

Allen Tate (Hobbs, N.M.) and Chad Rasmussen (University Place, Wash.) scored 20 points apiece, while Louis Green (Westchester, Ill.) notched a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. D'Vonne Pickett Jr. (Seattle, Wash.) scored 13 points and dished out seven assists without committing a turnover as all 13 Redhawks who played spent at least 11 minutes on the court, scored at least four points each, and pulled down at least one rebound apiece.

Lucky Lagerberg hit a jumper for Evergreen State three minutes into the contest, but that would be the last field goal for the Geoducks for over 12 minutes as the Redhawks went on a 39-1 scoring run before Lagerberg hit another jumper with 4:50 remaining in the first half. Those would be the only two field goals made by Evergreen State in the first half as Seattle U shot 64.1 percent from the field before halftime in taking a 61-6 lead into the locker room.

For the game, Seattle U shot 60.3 percent (47-of-78) from the field, including 50 percent (10-of-20) from behind the three-point line, and 61.9 percent (13-of-21) from the free throw line. The Redhawks won the rebounding battle, 65-27, including 18 offensive rebounds, and dished out 26 assists while committing only 17 turnovers.

"The guys came out with really good energy, and they were able to maintain it throughout the game. They were excited to play against someone else and to get out into KeyArena. It was a lot of fun, but we need to get ready for Sunday. It's time to get back to work and prepare for Montana State," Seattle U head coach Cameron Dollar said.

Seattle University will host Montana State in the Elgin Baylor Classic to open the 2012-13 regular season this Sunday, Nov. 11, starting at 6 p.m. at KeyArena. The game will be broadcast on 770 KTTH The Truth and on ROOT SPORTS.
