The Seattle University men's basketball team has added a 16th home game to the 2012-13 regular season schedule, as the Boise State Broncos will visit KeyArena at Seattle Center Sunday, Dec. 2, for a 2 p.m. contest.
Boise State is coming off a 13-17 season, but the Broncos return eight letterwinners, including four starters, from the 2011-12 squad. Sophomore Anthony Drmic is the team's leading returner, averaging 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game last year. Head coach Leon Rice is beginning his third season at the helm of the Bronco program after spending 11 seasons as an assistant at Gonzaga University.
With the addition of Boise State, Seattle U will now welcome to KeyArena schools from the Pac-12 (Washington), Mountain West (Boise State), Big Sky (Montana State), Mid-American (Northern Illinois), Big South (Campbell), and Southwestern Athletic (Jackson State) conferences, as well as nine Western Athletic Conference foes during the league portion of the 2012-13 schedule.
This will be the first meeting ever between Seattle U and Boise State in men's basketball. Boise State is competing in the Mountain West Conference for the final year before moving to the Big East Conference for football and the Big West Conference in most other sports.
Season tickets, along with three-game and five-game packages, are currently on sale by contacting the Seattle University Athletics Ticket Office at (206) 398-GOSU (4678).
