Eight members of the Seattle University softball team earned a spot on the 2011-12 Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioners Honor Roll, announced by PCSC Commissioner Ellen Moore. These eight student-athletes were part of a record 138 student-athletes named from 12 member schools. This is the third consecutive season that Seattle U softball has placed at least eight student-athletes on the honor roll.

Juniors Allegra Wilde and Theresa Clark have now received this honor each of their three seasons at Seattle U. Jessica Ulrich received the honor for the second time, also being named during her freshman season. Wilde posted a 3.75 GPA and is currently majoring in accounting and finance. Clark earned a 3.66 GPA and is majoring in psychology. Ulrich, a sport and exercise science major, earned a 3.57 GPA in 2011-12.

Sophomores Sarah Petosa and Karina Smyth have been named to the honor roll for the second consecutive year, having both been named last season. Petosa, a sport and exercise science major, earned a 3.97 GPA for the year, and Smyth earned a 3.86 cumulative GPA as an international studies major. Petosa and Smyth led the Redhawks in top GPAs for 2011-12.

Freshmen Bubba Morrow, Erin Crowley, and Jenny Hurst, received their first spot on the honor roll, starting their careers on a strong note, both athletically and academically. Morrow and Crowley, as pre-major's, posted a 3.01 and 3.31 cumulative GPA, respectively. Hurst, a liberal studies major, earned a 3.03 cumulative GPA in 2011-12.

To earn a place on the honor roll, a student-athlete has to record at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the 2011-12 academic year.

Seattle U softball played their final season of competition in the PCSC in 2011-12 and will begin competition in the Western Athletic Conference for the 2012-13 school year. They will also welcome a newly renovated on-campus home, as Logan Field renovation is set to be completed in fall 2012.
