The Seattle Sounders Women have announced the signing of four more players for the 2012 W-League campaign, one of which is former Seattle University women's soccer player, Kara Kuttler.
"Kara is such a great representative of Seattle U women's soccer," said Seattle U head coach Julie Woodward. "She is a fantastic soccer player, a successful nurse and a wonderful person. It is exciting to see her playing so well, and at such a high level. We couldn't be happier for her, and wish her the best of luck this season. She certainly deserves it!"
Kuttler previously played for the Sounders Women last season, and has been with the team throughout the 2012 preseason. She scored the fourth goal of the Sounders' preseason match versus Seattle Pacific University on Apr. 9, 2012.
A 2011 graduate of Seattle U, Kuttler is ranked ninth all-time in goals scored for the Redhawks. She was also the first SU player to be selected to the NSCAA Division I All-Region team. During her senior season, she started all 19 matches, leading the team in shots (74), ranking second on the team in points (10), and tying for second in goals scored (4).
Kuttler joins Katie Hultin, SU women's soccer volunteer assistant coach, on the team.
The Sounders Women will host the Colorado Rush in their first regular season home match on May 31 at 7 pm.
