SEATTLE U SOFTBALL FINISHES CONFERENCE SEASON IN HOME FINALE: The Seattle University softball team will play their last games this weekend as part of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, as they will move to the Western Athletic Conference starting in the 2012-13 season. The Redhawks welcome the Bears of the University of Northern Colorado for a weekend series starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 28 and at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Apr. 29. The contests will take place at Seattle U's "home away from home", the Federal Way National Little League Fields in Federal Way, Wash., while their on-campus home, Logan Field, is undergoing reconstruction. Prior to the doubleheader on Apr. 29, a senior day presentation will honor senior Hannah Klein. Live stats will be available for all four games on www.goseattleu.com.

SCOUTING NORTHERN COLORADO: Northern Colorado is 21-27 overall and 6-10 in the PCSC going into this weekend's contests. The Bears split their series versus Idaho State last weekend, winning the first contest of each day, 11-10 and 8-6, respectively, and falling in the second contest of each day, 2-4 and 9-10, respectively. After their weekend series versus Seattle U, they will play one final regular season contest versus Colorado State on Wednesday, May 2.
SERIES HISTORY: The Redhawks are 4-5 versus the Bears since returning to NCAA Division I play in the 2008-09 school year. In 2009, Seattle U competed in the Independent Softball Tournament at UNC to end the season, but the two teams did not face. In 2010, Northern Colorado took the first matchup of the season as part of the Red Desert Classic in St. George, Utah before SU took three of four games during conference play at Logan Field. In 2011, the Redhawks finished the season in Greeley, Colo., going 1-3, with a 6-1 win behind Karina Smyth's three-run home run.
PORTLAND STATE SERIES:
Seattle U took one of four from Portland State, winning 1-0 in 10 innings in game two on the opening day of the series. This was the Redhawks' longest (by innings) game so far this season. In the tenth inning, the international tiebreaker rule was used, placing Rogin Hardy on second base. Allegra Wilde entered the game as a pinch runner and scored the game-winning run on a sacrifice hit by Bubba Morrow.
