Six outstanding Seattle University alumni will be honored at Seattle University's 27th Annual Alumni Awards Celebration, President's Club, and Legacy Society Dinner on April 17, 2012 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Campion Ballroom on campus.

Among these award winners is Seattle U women's soccer head coach Julie Woodward, who will be receiving the 2012 University Service Award. Woodward is a 1993 graduate of Seattle University and has been the head coach of the women's soccer team for 15 years, leading the team to 13 winning seasons.

She was a women's soccer player during her time at Seattle U and was named to the Seattle U Athletics Hall of Fame for her playing career. Among her many accolades, Woodward earned her 200th career victory during the 2011 season, and is ranked in the NCAA Division I and II all-time coaching record books.

Other honorees include: Martha Choe, 1986 (2012 Alumnus/Alumna of the Year), Paul Newman, PhD, 1978 (2012 Professional Achievement Award), Bill Weis, PhD (2012 Distinguished Teaching Award), Tricia Trainer, 2002 (2012 Community Service Award), and Rosa Singer, 2002 (2012 Outstanding Recent Alumnus/Alumna Award).
