With overnight rain making the field at Municipal Stadium unplayable, the series finale between Seattle University and San Jose State scheduled for Sunday, March 25, has been cancelled, with no makeup date anticipated.

With the cancellation, the Redhawks clinch a road series victory for the first time since the baseball program was reestablished in 2008. Seattle U won the first game of Friday's doubleheader, 9-4, and earned a 6-4 victory Saturday. San Jose State's only win of the weekend came in the second game of the Friday twinbill, 2-1.

After eight consecutive road games, Seattle U will now play 19 straight games within the state of Washington from Friday, March 30, through Sunday, May 6. The Redhawks will host 15 games during that span, including the April 13 contest against BYU at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma and the April 23 game against Washington State at Everett Memorial Stadium, as well as travel to Pullman for a three-game series against the Cougars April 5-7 and a game at Husky Ballpark against Washington April 17.

Seattle University, currently 12-9 this season, welcomes Northern Colorado for a three-game set next weekend, beginning Friday, March 30, at 6 p.m. at Bannerwood Stadium in Bellevue.
