The Seattle University women's golf team held their ground Monday at the Folino Invitational, staying in 10th place after the second round of the tournament held at the Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort in Industry, Calif.
Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.) rocketed up the leaderboard, climbing 17 spots into a tie for 9th place after starting the day tied for 26th. Pearson shot 75 (+4) in the second round for a two-day total of 154 (+12).
Caitlin McCleary (The Dalles, Ore.) also moved up the leaderboard after shooting 79 (+8). She has a two-day total of 160 (+18) and sits in a tie for 31st.
Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah) shot 83 (+12) on Tuesday, and two Seattle U golfers, Christine Cook (Yakima, Wash.) and Monica Keo (Oahu, Hawaii) carded an 85 (+14) to complete SU's second round.
As a team, the Redhawks lie in 10th place for the second straight day with a score of 648 (+80), while Gonzaga leads the tournament with a score of 604 (+36). Tara Green of Montana is the overall leader with a two-day tally of 142 (E).
The Redhawks finish play at the Folino Invitational Tuesday, Feb. 21 starting at 8:00 a.m.
