A school record by Alexis Morehouse (Vancouver, Wash.) highlighted the second day of the 2012 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming and Diving Championships for the Seattle University women's swim team, held Thursday at East Los Angeles College.

In the 200 individual medley, Morehouse posted a school record time of 2:05.05 to qualify for the "B" final. She lowered her record time in the evening finals, finishing sixth in the race and 14th overall with a time of 2:04.97, earning three points for the Redhawks.

Morehouse swam the second leg of the 400 medley relay, joining Rachel Leighter (Eugene, Ore.), Melissa Randolf (Everett, Wash.), and Hanna Basler (El Cajon, Calif.) for a seventh place finish in the event with a time of 3:50.56, earning 24 points for Seattle U. The Redhawks ended the second day in 10th place with 67 points. UC Santa Barbara leads the team standings with 258 points, followed by BYU with 244.5 points.

The third day of the championships Friday will feature the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and 200 freestyle relay.
