Weekly Release: CSU Bakersfield
This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University men's soccer team (2-12-2 overall, 1-8 MPSF) will wrap up the 2011 season with a final home contest versus MSPF Pacific Division rival CSU Bakersfield (10-3-4, 6-3 MPSF) Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1.p.m. Prior to kickoff, SU will host their annual Senior Day ceremony honoring the graduating senior class.
Last Time Out: The Redhawks fell short in two close games last weekend, losing in double overtime to Air Force, 2-1, on Oct. 28, before dropping a 1-0 decision two days later at Denver.

Twice as Nice: Forward Mikey Ramos scored his second goal of the season on Oct. 28 at Air Force. The junior transfer also has four assists, giving him eight points on the season.
A Positive Note: After falling by one-goal margins in their last four consecutive matches, the Redhawks will look to end the regular season on a positive note and snap their four-game losing streak in their home finale Saturday versus CSU Bakersfield.
Thanks for the Memories: Saturday's match against CSU Bakersfield will mark the final match in a Redhawks uniform for six seniors: Kevin Cook, Scott Greenburg, Tyler Hanson, Brandon Hamer, Elliot Richards and Demaci Roussos; in addition to practice player David Hill.
Looking to Even the Season Series: The Redhawks look to avenge their 3-0 loss to the Roadrunners at Bakersfield, Calif. on Oct. 2, this weekend. The match earlier this season was the widest margin of defeat the Redhawks have seen this year.
Ranked Opponents: The Redhawks have faced four ranked opponents in 2011, nearly defeating No. 13/18 UCLA, 2-1, on Sept. 23 and playing then-No. 5 New Mexico tough before falling 2-1 on Oct. 21. They dropped a 3-1 decision to then-No. 9 UCSB on Aug. 27, before taking then-No. 23 UW to a scoreless draw on Sept. 11.
The Newbies: The Redhawk roster boasts 14 newcomers, with junior transfer Mikey Ramos tallying a pair of goals and four assists for a team-leading eight points.
The Captains: The men's soccer captains for the 2011 season are: Marshall Kosaka, Elliot Richards and Demaci Roussos.
Scouting CSU Bakersfield: CSU Bakersfield is 10-3-4 overall, 6-3 MPSF on the year. They currently are in first place in the MPSF Pacific Division and have qualified for the postseason tournament. The Roadrunners are coming off a 1-1 weekend in Colorado, defeating Denver, 1-0, on Oct. 28, before falling 2-1 at Air Force on Oct. 30.
Gyasi Zardes leads the Roadrunners' offense with 17 goals in 17 games, while four other players have contributed three goals apiece. Jesus Sanchez has dished 11 assists on the year, to lead the squad. Ten different players have served at least one assist on the year.
In goal, Eric Shannon has started all 17 games. Shannon has a 0.74 goals against average, making 60 saves and tallying seven shutouts on the year. Anthony Perez has played in two matches for 18 minutes between the pipes. During his two off the bench appearances, he's nabbed two saves.
The Last Time Seattle U Faced CSU Bakersfield: On Oct. 2, the Redhawks lost to the Roadrunners 3-0 in Bakersfield, Calif. to open the 2011 MPSF slate. The Redhawks hung tough for the first half, but the Roadrunners scored three times in a 15-minute span in the second half to put the game away. Mikey Ramos lead SU in shots with four, three were on frame.
