Holdridge started the Cal Poly tournament last Sunday with an even-par 71, his best first-round score of the season. He followed that with a second-round score of two-under-par 69, the third straight tournament in which he has shot 69 in the second round. In Monday's third round, he shot four-over-par 75 to end the tournament in a tie for sixth place with a final score of 215 (+2).
A transfer from New Mexico State, Holdridge has played in all four tournaments Seattle U has participated in so far this season. He has posted a scoring average of 73.3 in 12 rounds, including three rounds of 69. He finished in a tie for 28th place at The McLaughlin at the historic Bethpage State Park Red Course, helping the Redhawks move up from 10th place to fifth place in the final team standings.
The Seattle University men's golf team has been a member of the America Sky Men's Golf Conference since July 2010, finishing sixth at the 2011 America Sky Conference Championships. The Redhawks will compete in the 2012 America Sky Conference Championships April 29-May 1, 2012, at Lake of Isles in Ledyard, Conn., before joining the Western Athletic Conference July 1, 2012.
The Seattle U men's golf team returns to action at the Kauai Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii at the Puakea Golf Course in Lihue, Kaua'i, Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
