Thirty-five seconds into the second overtime period, Air Force's Zane Dydasco guided the Falcons to a 2-1 victory over the Seattle University men's soccer team Friday evening in Colorado Springs, Colo. With the loss, SU falls to 2-11-2 overall, 1-7 MPSF on the year, while Air Force improves to 9-5-2 overall, 3-3-2 MPSF.

AF opened up action in the contest striking immediately. Dydasco sent in a shot that goalkeeper Jake Feener (Rocklin, Calif.) punched out, but the Redhawks were unable to take possession of the ball and clear it out. Garrett Getschow followed through on the ball and gave Air Force a 1-0 advantage 45 seconds into the match.

The Redhawks responded by tightening up their defensive efforts and getting their offensive game going. In the 28th minute, Marshall Kosaka (Burien, Wash.) took advantage of a misplayed ball from Air Force goalkeeper Matt Underwood. He intercepted the ball and crossed it to forward Mikey Ramos (Spokane Valley, Wash.), who shot in his second goal of the season from 12 yards out.

From that point forward, the Redhawks and Falcons played over 70 scoreless minutes. The Seattle U backline was solid, as they deflected off AF's peppered in shot attempts to send the match into a second overtime period.

Similarly to how the game began, the second overtime opened with a quick Falcon goal. At the 100:35-minute mark, AF's John Melcher sent in a long cross from the right side to Dydasco, who shot in the game-winner from 20 yards out to the far post.

In the match, Air Force outshot Seattle U 22-8, with an 8-2 on frame advantage. SU's keeper Feener tallied six saves in the match.

The Redhawks will head next to Denver, Colo. to square off with the Denver Pioneers on Sunday, Oct. 30. First kick is slated for 12 noon PT.
